It's a long (103 cm) exfoliating shower towel woven from Japanese bamboo charcoal fibre. It lets you gently exfoliate your whole body — including your back — with the body wash you already use. Inspired by the traditional Japanese sentō ritual, it replaces washcloths, loofahs and scrubs.

Wet the towel in the shower, add your usual body wash, then glide it across your body with gentle movements. Hold both ends to reach your back. Rinse and hang it to dry after use.

Yes. Use light pressure on sensitive areas and adjust to what feels comfortable. If it's your first time exfoliating with a towel, start gently and build up gradually.

We recommend keeping it for the body. Facial skin is much thinner — if you do use it on your face, use very light pressure and no more than once or twice a week.

For the body, 2 to 3 times a week is ideal. Listen to your skin — if it feels tight or looks red, space out your sessions.

With normal care — rinsing after each use and machine washing every couple of weeks — it lasts far longer than a loofah: many months rather than weeks.

Rinse it with clean water after each use and hang it to dry. Every couple of weeks, machine wash it at 30°C with your regular laundry. Avoid bleach and the tumble dryer.

It's woven to dry quickly, which helps it stay fresh between showers and resist the musty smell loofahs get. Just rinse and hang it after each use.
